Laszewo Kansas City Concert reviews
It was obvious the acoustics weren't optimized--the bass was on waaaayy too high!!! I mean, this is Laszewo people--not Dr. Dre!!! Good show, but. One hilarious highlight of the night was when he brought a lucky lady on stage from the audience and danced--oh, how should I say--suggestively with her? =) When it's on so loud that it distorts the bass notes (seriously, they sounded like mud) and often overshadows the mids and highs (very important when a lot of the music is piano-driven), it just starts to ruin the music. I'm no stranger to bass-heavy performances or music (hip-hop is my favorite but I also love how much fuller rock music sounds live, precisely because of the bass), but too much is too much. But big props to Mr. Legend for his singing and playing chops, presence and style, though. Husbands and boyfriends beware--don't let your woman up on stage with the Legend, she may not come back!
